Kerri's Sandbox Page

Introduction to Kerri's Sandbox Page

9/14/2017

Please do not Delete or Update This Post!

This is a Blog Format page, where each Post functions as a separate webpage within the main (Pam's Sandbox Page) webpage.

This is a "hidden" webpage, meaning it does not show up on the Navigation Menu, you (and I) are the only ones who know the URL address, which is
http://the-westwood-wire.weebly.com/sandbox-blog-page-for-pam

There are always two (2) steps in adding "stuff" to this website, first of all in Weebly edit mode (to create a new webpage or Post, then to Publish the information you have added.  Please, ALWAYS go to the published page/post and check the results, make sure the "lightbox" features and the live links work as you expected, and that the visual optics of the page are what you wanted.

When you are ready to make your first Post, click on New Post (at bottom right), and a new "empty" post entry will pop up looking for a Title to be put in.

Then, click and drag an Element from the toolbox on the left into the body of the new Post.  This element you are reading is a Text element.

Next I will drag an Image element in, and load a weekly menu JPG into it.

Note that this is for the entire week, so I adjust the Publication Date to the Sunday at the end of the week so that this post, when published, will stay at the top of the webpage until the next weekly menu is put up.

The procedure is similar for more than 1 JPG image into it, except I drag a Gallery Element into the Post, then upload a Dinner and a Lunch menu.
Sometimes they need to be dragged into the correct sequence, and I also set the Gallery for 6 up images, and again, add a direction for our many newbies, so it will look like this.

Click on Menu to enlarge, click outside Menu to close:
And, when you are all done, click on Post at the top right.

Editing an existing Post is similar, click anywhere in the body of the Post to be edited to go into Edit mode, make the necessary changes, then click on Update at top right.
